About Us

In Nottinghamshire, we're fortunate to have numerous lodges across the province, each hosting regular ceremonies. We're proud of this tradition and hope it continues into the future.

The Byron Club has a primary aim of guiding newly initiated Freemasons through their first three degrees, but that's not all we do. We're committed to supporting our members even after they've achieved the third degree. You're welcome to remain a full member of the Byron Club until you receive an official provincial rank, essentially becoming an extension of your mother lodge.  After that, you will be eligible for Associate Membership, which allows experienced club brethren to pass on their knowledge and wisdom to the club.

Our purpose is to help you expand your Masonic network through social events and visits to other lodges. Our members come from various backgrounds, creating a diverse and enriching environment for all.

Typically, members join the Byron Club shortly after initiation, encouraged by lodges across the province to broaden their Masonic connections. With many lodges operating from the same hall and numerous halls throughout Nottinghamshire, there are ample opportunities for exploration.

As the official Light Blue club in Nottinghamshire, we organise monthly meetings and encourage participation from as many members as possible. These meetings cover a range of topics, including ceremonies for all three degrees, official provincial visits, and engaging talks. Of course, we also enjoy social gatherings to unwind and connect with fellow members.

With the assistance of our Visits & Social Events coordinator, we arrange exciting activities such as group meals, mini-golf outings, and beer festivals. These events provide opportunities for camaraderie and bonding among our members, extending the spirit of Freemasonry beyond the confines of our meetings.
